Maria Scaturro is researcher at the National Institute of Health in Italy. She has been working since 2001 at the National Reference Laboratory for Legionella. She is skilled in diagnosis and typing of Legionella in both clinical and environmental samples, and she has been involved in Legionnaires’ disease outbreak investigations occurred in Italy. She is member of the multidisciplinary team of expert for preparing and reviewing the Italian Guidelines for Legionella prevention and control.
