Berjeaud Jean-Marc

Jean-Marc Berjeaud is Professor in Biochemistry at the University of Poitiers, France. He is Assistant-Director of the Ecology and Biology of the Interactions Laboratory (CNRS - UMR 7267) and leader of the Water Microbiology team. He is member of the “Biocides” scientific expert committee for ANSES (French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety). He has more than 20 years of experience of research on antimicrobial natural substances, and more particularly on antimicrobial peptides. He was working for the last 10 years on the control of Legionella pneumophila in the water networks. He characterized and studied the mode of action of several microbial originating anti-Legionella molecules.
